Andrea Emmerich (b. 1992, Dearborn, Michigan) renders paintings on a sculpted canvas. Using oil paint, foam, and latex to create symmetrical and orderly objects that bounce forward and back onto each other. These painted sculptural objects are often realized using rounded text, 3D shapes, painted scenes, objects, and patterns. These modalities galvanize into complex, dense works.

Emmerich received a Bachelor of Fine Arts, distinction in drawing and painting, from Ohio State University, and currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
