Carol Pino was born in Rio de Janeiro and immigrated to the United States at a young age. She received a bachelor's degree in art history from Goucher College and a master's degree in art history specializing in Brazilian Modernism at Southern Methodist University. Carol’s practice draws on the intersection between man-built environments, spirituality, and human interaction in the post-colonial world through abstraction.
