Nick Christos is a multidisciplinary visual artist living and working in West Palm Beach, Florida. In addition to being a self-taught landscape painter, he also utilizes text and visual data on non-traditional surfaces such as found objects to craft narratives linking past to present. Currently, he is creating a series of works which commemorate the centennial of the deadly 1926 and 1928 hurricanes, and their effects on South Florida’s nascent pioneer communities. In this, he explores loss, collective memory, and resilience in a familiar land.
